BROAD SPECTRUM OF CELLULASE & AMYLASE:
* C1-ase breaks down cellulose by hydrolysing glucosidic bonds one by one starting from the end of linear polysaccharide chain.
* CMC-ase breaks down cellulose by hydrolysing glycosidic bonds randomly, in its polysaccharide chain releasing shorter chains of polysaccharide enhancing effectiveness of enzyme C1-ase activity. CMC-ase becomes effective together with C1-ase.
* Xylanase breaks down xylan. Xylan is found to depress the availability of nutrients and cause endogenous protein losses. Xylanase reduces this problem by degrading xylan. Nuzyme also contains Pentosanase.
* ß-glucanase breaks down-glucans by hydrolysing beta linkages of cellulose. Barley and Oats mainly contain large amount of ß glucans.
* Alfa amylase breaks down starch as the most important storage polysaccharides found in most of plant cells.
