Combining 14% glutaraldehyde with 2.5% quaternary  ammonium salt (quat),   GLUTEX GQ1 efficiently sanitizes against a broad range of viruses, bacteria, spores and fungi in animal production.

The combination of Glutaraldehyde quat is synergistic and allows for an excellent sanitizer for diverse poultry and livestock applications.  

Glutaraldehyde provides a quick rate of kill with improved performance in the presence of organic matter, while the quat works to increase the penetration of glutaradehyde in the cell. This is a limited number of glutaraldehyde/quat combination products available in the U.S. for this market.

GLUTEX GQ1 Sanitizer contains the highest percentage of glutaraldehyde of the glut/quat combination products. The effective combination of these two actives offers improved broad-range performance against products that list quats as the primary active.

Quats of themselves suffer from limited efficacy against many viruses, certain Gram-negative bacteria and spores, and they have a high affinity for negatively charged materials, making them readily deactivated by organic matter.

Internal laboratory testing resulted in low corrosion to metals when applied at end-use levels on carbon levels on carbon steel, galvanized steel and galvanneal steel.

There is NO formaldehyde in or formaldehyde release from GLUTEX GQ1.

Glutaraldehyde is readily biodegradable according to OECD 301A test method.

Efficacy data is continually being generated for GLUTEX QG1, including disinfection efficicacy.  Some of the microorganisms being tested include, but are not limited to, Clostridium perfringens, Escherichia coli, Salmonnella enteritidis, Mycoplasma gallisepticum, Pasteurella multocida, Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Campylobacter jejuni, Haemophilus paragallinarum and Avian laryngotracheitis.
